The two producers meet again for a long-awaited track, out on Friday 23rd August
There are artists who have become legendary in the trance scene who prefer to gently touch this world after several decades of iconic successes, but when they do so they make themselves heard, indeed ! This is the case of Brian Transeau, or the Grammy Nominated BT, who for some time now has been juggling between composing ambient and glitch melodies and producing authentic progressive-trance bombs.
The albums The Lost Art Of Longing (2020) and Metaversal (2021) have earned the Atlanta DJ and producer new fame on the trance scene, before returning to the steps of experimentation with The Secret Language Of Trees, released last year.
In recent years, inside and outside these projects, one name has often appeared alongside BT, and that is Matt Fax; the French DJ and producer certainly needs no introduction: riding the wave of success of his latest collaboration with Ruben de Ronde on Enhanced Progressive Record, called Stokbrood and his single Frost, has always shown that the wise mix of progressive house and techno-trance is the right recipe. In any case, we still have in our heads his extraordinary work done last year for The Blizzard – Kalopsia, one of the most beautiful remixes of 2023.
BT and Matt Fax have met several times, as mentioned: in 2018 for The Noetic, in 2020 then, for the collaboration Walk Into The Water with Nation Of One and for 1 AM in Paris, both part of BT’s album The Lost Art Of Longing: In the same year, a their collaboration was present in the album studio Progressions of Matt Fax, Artificial: Matt Fax also remixed Stratosfere by the American DJ.
This Friday, a new collaboration of theirs will be released on Armind Recordings label, which we consider to be truly massive: it’s called Vertical:
Vertical has actually been “around” since last spring as it was included in Armin van Buuren’s iconic compilation A State Of Trance 2024, so we’ve had the chance to appreciate it for a while now.
Matt Fax played Vertical also during his Guest Mix in A State Of Trance episode 1173 last May, also previewing other releases and some his new remixes absolutely remarkable.
