The Dutch legend also announced that a new track will be released in 2025 under his most famous alias
Gelredome Stadium, in Arnhem, is associated with some trance memories of famous events of the past: for the most passionate, it’s useless to mention which ones. For some time now, however, as a confirmation that, despite the multiplication of festivals around the world The Netherlands always remains the ideal destination, Gelredome Stadium is once again associated with the creation of giant trance music memories.
Although it’s nothing new, on its almost twentieth birthday, Transmission festival remains one of the most important and spectacular indoor trance events ever and this year it will return to Arnhem: it also happened in December 2023, with an impressive edition, while last year the festival returned to its “historical” European home, at the O2 Arena in Prague.
Announced for a while now, the event at Gelredome Stadium will take place on next April 12th and the line-up is gradually leaking out over the weeks and is not yet complete, but we can say that it will be absolutely exceptional again this year, here are the names released so far:
The stainless progressive-trance of Cosmic Gate, the uplifting trance of Craig Connelly, the energy of Daxson (author among other things of several anthems for Transmission), the increasingly interesting trance union between RAM and Richard Durand with their alias Digital Culture, Driftmoon, who will play a special trance classic set, the presence of one of the pillars of Transmission, Markus Schulz, with his recently newly evolved sound, the legendary trance touch of Paul van Dyk and with the unmissable presence of Vision Impossible but this year, perhaps above all, the eyes are on the special set of Ferry Corsten who is intent on celebrating 25 years of the Gouryella project.
In a recent episode of RESONATION Radio, the Rotterdam DJ and producer announced that in 2025 much of his work will be focused on celebrating the birth of his famous alias, which was actually born in 1998 from an idea of his and Tiësto with the first single that bears the name of the project: after three legendary tracks (Gouryella, Walhalla, Tenshi) Tiësto left the project, in 2001: in 2002, after the release of the enchanting Ligaya, the Gouryella project stopped for thirteen years but re-emerged, always with the only presence of Ferry Corsten, in 2015, with the iconic Anahera.
Ferry Corsten also added that he is working on finishing a new track with the legendary alias (the last one, in 2021, called Orenda) but just as much new music bearing his name is about to be released: considering the incredible work we heard last year with the album CONNECT, in which much of his iconic sound was present and not only that, we have no doubts about how beautiful the news that the Dutch legend will bring in the coming months will be.
Transmission in Arnhem will be one of the showcases to celebrate 25 years of the Gouryella project and, as always, the show of trance music: tickets are still available for the event, which will take place at the Gelredome Stadium on April 12, 2025, from 2 PM to 11 PM CET.
