A long friendship binds the two DJs, who are finally about to release a massive collaboration that has been around since last summer
When we think of Omnia, it’s impossible for the mind not to run, among his many exceptional records, to that famous A State Of Trance ‘Invasion’ of 2012 in which, the notes of the now iconic The Fusion with IRA, vibrated in the walls of many stadiums around the world to celebrate the 550 episodes of Armin van Buuren‘s radio show: that “ai, oh, make the-ha, ey, hahahaha hey” became one of the anthems of that year.
Yevhen Oleksandrovych Smyrnov, the real name of the Ukrainian DJ and producer, born in 1987, was however known well before his probably most famous song: two years earlier, he had enchanted everyone, together with Susana and The Blizzard with the incredible Closer, and over the years, with various successes such as Infina, Immersion, Alien, The Light, For The First Time (feat. Tilde) or some of his incredible remixes, just to mention a few of his successes.
Recently, in November, the artist had published, on ETRNTY the energic The Face which took up his iconic sound from a few years ago.
Supported by Armin van Buuren and many other DJs and producers in recent years, in 2009, the Ukrainian producer had remixed Face To Face of Armin van Buuren feat. Jacqueline Govaert but he had however missed the “appointment” with a real collaboration with the king of A State Of Trance: Armin van Buuren we know very well, he is an unstoppable “machine” of personal hits and collaborations and he and Omnia had not yet created something together: well, it seems that the time has come, in 2025:
Actually, the track that will be released in the next few weeks, which is called Love, we know it well, since August 2024 as it is present in the famous A State of Trance Ibiza 2024 compilation, but it had not yet been released as a single: the same thing happened to Viva L’Opera with Natalie Gioia, played for the first time during the summer and released in December.
Love is exactly what you would like to hear from Armin van Buuren and Omnia together: an epic sung intro that ends with a “the only thing that matters is … love !” followed by a powerful, clear, massive techno-trance restart.
