‘Eight’ marks Giuseppe Ottaviani’s debut album under his OTTAGON alias

After releasing several tracks in a short span of time, the Italian producer now presents the full album

Giuseppe Ottaviani is one of the most influential figures in the global trance scene. Since his debut with the Nu NRG project – a symbol of a bygone era of trance – he has evolved and firmly established himself as a solo artist. The nickname “maestro”, which also reflects his Italian roots, perfectly captures his musical philosophy, deeply rooted in a love for keyboards and synthesizers. His current style is characterized by continuous exploration of sound frequency control and depth -concepts that best represent his musical vision.

This vision gave birth to the OTTAGON project a few months ago: a new artistic identity for the Viterbo-based producer, who appears in a futuristic, all-white look, surrounded by eight keyboards arranged in an octagon. This powerful visual symbol marks a new direction for Ottaviani at a crucial moment for electronic music , one that he may have anticipated before many others. He describes Ottagon as an experiment aimed at exploring the intersection of trance and the so-called melodic techno.

The originality of the concept – combining what the audience wants to hear with what they want to see on stage – has sparked great interest within the industry. Armada Music, in particular, has shown strong support for the project, backing the release of the seven singles that form the foundation of this first album under his new alias: Eight, released last Friday.

Carefully curated, the album includes tracks such as Right Now, the latest single, featuring vocals by SGNLS (aka Jay Mason), a notable figure in the global EDM scene known for his progressive influences and striking use of arpeggios. Also noteworthy is Without You, released in March, featuring the talented Adriana Stone discovered by Ottaviani himself and a perfect embodiment of the album’s overall sound. Finally, The One, created in collaboration with Lilly Ahlberg, delivers an immersive and emotionally resonant experience. This musical journey began on January 24 with the release of Find You, and continued with We Are Free, Dust, and Who We Are.

The album includes five additional tracks, rounding out a final tracklist of twelve tracks:

Dust feat. Lake Silver
