The king of trance music – and beyond – will release his new album on June 27th, bringing together all of his records from the past two years.
Recently, we’ve come to know new musical facets of Armin van Buuren. His decision to embark on a new musical journey – once again influenced by various musical genres, as seen previously with Balance (2019) and Feel Again (2022) – began in 2023 with a long series of releases. These tracks formed the perfect mosaic that became the framework for his following album, Breathe In, released in January 2024.
This extended journey revealed a somewhat renewed producer, one who remains deeply in tune with musical innovation and the evolving trends of electronic music, while still preserving his signature trance personality. The creative force behind the king of A State of Trance continued in the same direction over the following months, with numerous collaborations that made it clear this musical and mental journey was only halfway through.
The turning point came with a recent announcement in which Armin declared the conclusion of this beautiful creative experience, giving a destination to the singles released during this period and revealing Breathe Out, the second and final chapter of his project.
The union between what was Breathe In and the new Breathe Out – the music that Armin composed and released on Armada Music over the past twelve months – will give life, on June 27th, to the definitive concept, Breathe; the definitive version of this album will feature no fewer than fiftyone tracks, some of which are still unreleased and will be announced soon as singles.
The album largely consists of everything Armin van Buuren has decided to record over the past two years: trance, progressive, house, pop and techno music have given birth to exclusive collaborations, defining this latest creative phase. This time, however, as he himself hinted, the experience was meant to draw us in differently — perhaps even behind the decks with him — and that’s exactly what happened. The intensity of this massive project marks the latest (but certainly not the last) chapter of his career, and it’s sure to open yet another new one.
The latest single, released on April 25th and included on the album, is the already-iconic progressive house track Dream A Little Dream (feat. Sam Gray), which Armin van Buuren finally released after a long wait.
Armin van Buuren – Breathe will be released on June 27th, 2025 via Armada Music. You can pre-save/pre-order it here.
