After years of career and several collaborations with different labels, Paul Richard Denton reaches a significant milestone with his debut album on Future Sound Of Egypt
Retrospekt, released today, truly embodies what every uplifting melodic trance enthusiast longs to hear, the result of a well-shaped musical path supported by the label, which has strongly believed in his talent through a series of high-quality releases in recent months.
The album fully reflects over fiftheen years of dedication to trance, offering a perfect balance of melody, emotion, and innovation: since his early days, Paul Denton has delivered a style of trance that is straightforward yet filled with depth. His latest works had already revealed a clear artistic and sonic growth, paving the way for the creation of such an ambitious project.
2025 has been an intense year for Paul: a series of singles foreshadowing the album quickly caught attention. Around in Circles in February and We Are One (with Bogdan Vix and Lyd14) followed, opening the path, while the summer brought three high-impact releases: All I Need (June), Eivissa (July), and Losing Faith (with Linnea Schössow and H4lo) in August, tracks that clearly defined the Retrospekt concept. These singles, marked by “sharp” melodies, remarkable vocals, and a pure uplifting style, are all integral parts of the album.
Among the unreleased tracks, the album offers a rich and original stylistic variety. It opens with Serenity, graced by Ren Faye’s voice, a classic melodic and immersive album introduction. Carried Away, a collaboration with Storm State, brings an intense progressive vocal touch.
The title track, which is set to become a future single, explores futuristic soundscapes, while Tripod delivers Paul’s trademark energetic uplifting. Control and The Vault hit hard, while Chime, Ping, and Lights introduce fast, experimental electro elements, adding a modern edge to the tracklist.
Retrospekt features fourteen tracks that encapsulate Paul Denton’s creative flair, enhanced by high-profile vocal collaborations. This project marks a new chapter in his career, supported by an international tour dedicated to promoting the album throughout the year and beyond.
