Rinaly releases her trance tale: ‘Ecliptica’

An all-female project with standout guests, ‘Ecliptica’ is the introspective trance journey of the Japanese artist

The musical journey of Rina Noguchi began ten years ago: initially experimenting with house and hardstyle, and soon after, finding her true calling in trance music. Born in Tokyo, and now based in Sweden, Rinaly has made her mark with both solo productions and high-profile collaborations (with names like Ronski Speed, Bjorn Akesson, Alessandra Roncone, and many others), appearing on iconic trance labels such as Ava White, Suanda or and Find Your Harmony: now, in 2025, exactly a decade after her debut, Rinaly has released her debut album this past Friday, choosing the legendary Black Hole Recordings for this work: Ecliptica.

As the name suggests, Ecliptica is project made of light and shadow, as described by Rinaly herself: it’s a deeply personal and somewhat autobiographical album, capturing the spectrum of emotions she has experienced throughout her life: happiness, despair, and ultimately, rebirth. The album moves from the harmonious tones of uplifting trance in its first half to the darker shades of techno-trance influences in the second part, concluding with a new drum & bass version of Home (feat. Donna Tella), his track released in 2023, forming a full-circle musical voyage for the Japanese artist.

One of the standout elements of this debut album is the powerful presence of female vocalists who’ve made their mark on trance history: the legendary Julie Thompson (Running), Linnea Schossow with H4Lo (Too High to Fall), Christina Novelli (Set a Fire), Cari (Echo), Brienna Grace (Anywhere), Clara Yates (Oh Fragile Girl), and Donna Tella (Home); we already knew some of them as they were released this year. This all-female lineup underscores Rinaly’s commitment to inspiring and empowering women in this times, not only in the music scene but far beyond it.
