‘Mountain’: The inner sound of Cold Blue

Finding the right inspiration for a new project is never easy it often requires both time and dedication. Tobias Schuh, better known as Cold Blue, seems to have spent a long time shaping Mountain, seeking to transform his innermost feelings into sound.

Following Winter (2019) and Summer Chills (2020), this new album represents the sonic expression of his life vision , a balance between joy and hardship, conveyed through twelve tracks, each capable of evoking a distinct emotion.

The project began to take shape last July with the release of Radiate, a majestic collaboration with Nicole Willerton. The track, born during a particularly meaningful period for Tobias, delivers a powerful emotional impact. Nicole’s voice, far removed from the conventions of electronic music and already featured in All I See Is You , blends seamlessly with an intense and deeply melodic trance production.

Next came Sunday Kiss, which highlights all the uplifting elements typical of Cold Blue’s sound, clearly reflecting the evolution of his style over the years. The most recent single, Into The Rain, reveals a more progressive side, built on deep, captivating melodies.

And these are just a few of the facets of an album that promises nine more unreleased tracks, proof of the versatility of an artist who moves effortlessly between genres and atmospheres.

In recent years, Cold Blue has shown that true quality can also emerge from silence. Working away from the spotlight, he has refined a sound that is instantly recognizable and admired by many leading names in today’s international trance scene.

On October 24, Tobias Schuh was among the featured artists at ADE Luminosity Friday Time at Panama in Amsterdam, where he previewed several tracks from Mountain, due for release on November 14 via Black Hole Recordings.
