Orjan Nilsen – Between The Rays

Ørjan Nilsen, between the late 2000s and the early 2010s, established himself as one of the leading figures of the trance scene, heavily supported by Armin van Buuren and many other artists: among the several successes he produced during this period, likely at the height of his popularity, the Norwegian DJ and producer released Between The Rays in 2011, on Armind label.

The track definitively highlighted the harmonic trance side of Ørjan’s artistic spectrum, staying true to his signature electronic sound while adding a nostalgic and deeply emotional trance touch, that embodies the real soul of the track.

The track achieved great success throughout 2011, one of the most played trance records of the year and becoming one of Armin van Buuren’s favorites, being voted #5 in the A State of Trance end-of-year Top 20 by listeners. It was released alongside another track, The Mule, which featured a completely different sound, blending progressive trance with electronic “obsessive” rhythms. Definitely, Ørjan Nilsen delivered a truly masterful work that year.
