The GelreDome in Arnhem once again confirms its status as the European home of one of the most iconic trance events in the world. The date is set for November 28, with a full lineup featuring an outstanding selection of artists
Among the most iconic events that have helped represent and celebrate trance music over the years, Transmission Festival is now preparing to reach its 20th edition. Its journey has been marked by countless events that brought some of the genre’s most prominent names to the stage, delivering many memorable DJ sets along the way.
As with the beginning of every great dream, it all started without illusions but with an enormous amount of enthusiasm. On February 18, 2006, at the former T-Mobile Arena in Prague, the incredible journey of this event began. Ferry Corsten and M.I.K.E. led that historic first edition, two absolute protagonists of a night destined to open an important chapter in trance history.
Over the years, Transmission has given the genre a prominent platform, standing alongside other major festivals and gradually becoming a meeting point for the European trance community. Its mission has always been clear: to bring the leading names of the scene to the stage, something the festival has achieved with remarkable consistency.
The historic Prague venue eventually had to face the growing success of an event that had by then become a global phenomenon. The European journey continued through Gdańsk, Bratislava and Neustadt-Glewe in Germany, before eventually crossing the continent and reaching Sydney, Bangkok and Shanghai. The Transmission brand now knows no borders. After two decades of history, it has reached an impressive level of recognition, becoming a true guarantee for trance listeners and fans around the world.
Over the past three years, the European chapter has focused on a legendary venue for music and major events: the GelreDome in Arnhem, which welcomed Transmission for the first time in 2023, reaffirmed its central role in 2025 and is now preparing to host the festival once again for its 20th anniversary. This special edition will bring some of the biggest names in trance in 2026 to the stage, celebrating twenty years of history, evolution and memorable moments under the Transmission banner.
Among the confirmed names are some of the legendary figures who have helped establish the festival as a major force over the years: Paul van Dyk, the B2B set featuring Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz, Aly & Fila, the Digital Culture duo formed by RAM & Richard Durand, and the B2B set featuring Driftmoon and Asteroid. The return of Daxson is particularly anticipated, while Andrew Rayel will bring his EXTASIA project to the stage. There is also great attention around Anthony Reyers of Xijaro & Pitch who, as we know, will perform on the Transmission stage for the final time.
The task of opening the night will go to Dusk, a trance producer from the Czech Republic who has been selected for the Warm Up of this 20th edition. It will therefore be an opportunity to witness performances from some of the artists who, through their productions, are helping make 2026 such a spectacular year, adding another special chapter to a year already filled with outstanding releases and memorable moments.
