Next February 9th, the long-awaited new track by the legendary trance trio and Zoë Johnston will finally be released, played for the first time during ABGT 500 in 2022.
The collaboration between Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston, together with the one with Justine Suissa for OceanLab project, is one of the longest-lasting and most loved partnerships in the history of trance music: it all began in 2004, when Zoe’s voice broke into the then nascent Anjunabeats label for the release of a track that has become legendary: No One On Earth, with the three companions Tony, Paavo and Jono; her enchanting voice will then be further enhanced by the Gabriel & Dresden remix (Tune Of The Year 2004 in A State Of Trance).
In Above & Beyond’s debut album Tri-State, Zoë reappears for the follow-up that definitively consecrated this collaboration: Good For Me, one of the most iconic vocal trance tracks of the new millennium, released in 2006 (and, again, ASOT Tune Of The Year in that year).
From then on, there were many tracks that Above & Beyond released together with Zoë, covering almost their steps musical career to date and each of them left their mark: an iconic, harmonious, touching voice, which combines with the indisputable beauty of the sound, first trance, then progressive, of Above & Beyond.
We therefore arrive at the ABGT 500 event on October 15, 2022, the last mega event of their radioshow: in these annual events during their DJ sets we always expect something new collab with Justine or Zoë and among the many IDs played that evening at the Bank of California Stadium (including the five tracks who composed the Tranquility Base Vol. 1 EP last year) it absolutely does not go unnoticed the new track with her, Zoë: the unmistakable voice of the English artist rises up to a goosebumps pause in which the words of a declaration of love remain suspended: then rises the trance groove of Above & Beyond, uniting everything like a powerful wave of love, this is Crazy Love.
After almost a year and a half, Crazy Love is scheduled for release Friday 9 February on Anjunabeats: fans have been very patient but obviously this wait is about to be rewarded with an exciting new melody.
