This last Friday, Tiësto unveiled his brand-new radioshow, Prismatic, a project named after his recent tour and one that officially marks the beginning of his rediscovered musical era, deeply rooted in trance and progressive sounds
At the start of 2025, exactly one year ago, no trance lover or, more broadly, any fan of dance and electronic music, could have imagined what we, and many others, have been reporting for months: Tiësto’s return to the trance and progressive scene after more than fifteen years: a comeback shaped by a series of increasingly strong signals, from the nostalgic In Search Of Sunrise set at EDC Las Vegas in May, to his full-on trance DJ set at Dreamstate SoCal in November, followed by the release of the progressive-trance track Bring Me To Life with FORS. These milestones were further reinforced by the announcement of more trance music on the way, including a dedicated album.
Adding even more weight to this full-circle return to the genre that made him an icon between the late ’90s and the early 2000s was the recent announcement of the end of Tiësto’s Club Life radioshow: on air since 2007, the long-running radioshow had become the soundtrack to the so-called “second life” of the Breda-based DJ and producer, defined by EDM, pop-dance and more commercial sounds.
With its final episode #978, aired on December 27, Tiësto paid tribute to that chapter of his career by selecting some of the most iconic and influential dance and EDM tracks of the past two decades, such Eric Prydz – Pjanoo, Avicii – Levels, Swedish House Mafia – Don’t You Worry Child and many more.
Replacing Club Life this Friday was the debut of the new Prismatic Radioshow: a premiere that leaves little room for doubt: Tiësto appears to have completed a definitive transition, or perhaps, more accurately, a return to his roots: the one-hour-long episode 001 makes this direction unmistakably clear, showcasing his current musical preferences and featuring some of his latest productions. Among them are Bring Me To Life, which opens the show, and Beautiful Places, a track that will most likely serve as his next official single:

In his selection, there are new progressive and trance tracks, including some unreleased ones, but also older tunes: a style already seen in his recent trance DJ sets, including the one at the Great Pyramids of Giza. This approach consists of mixing tracks of different styles, progressive, uplifting, techno-trance and more, regardless of their release date, but, as it should be, according to his personal preferences.
The Prismatic Radioshow will accompany the legendary A State Of Trance radioshow, which, as we know, will celebrate its twenty-fifth anniversary this year, alongside many other historic trance radioshows, such as Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy, Ferry Corsten’s Resonation Radio, Aly & Fila’s Future Sound of Egypt, and, launched on Friday, January 2nd like Prismatic, Ruben de Ronde’s new radioshow, Statement! Radio.
2026 has truly begun under the sign of a new era, one we can’t wait to experience.
