Brainbug – Nightmare

Brainbug was the most famous alias of the Italian composer and producer Alberto Bertapelle (1958 – 2016); guitarist and keyboardist since the age of 13, in the mid 90’s he surprises everyone with the release of a trance record, which enters the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart and goes gold in Australia: it’s 1996 and “Nightmare”, with its dark and sophisticated sound, makes its way into dancefloors all over Europe, affirming that period as one of the most harbingers in the trance genre. “Nightmare” appeared in the soundtrack of several films, such as Human TrafficPlaying by Heart and A Night at the Roxbury.
