In the 90s, Oliver Lieb was one of the most prolific techno-trance producers around, both under his own name and under various aliases, including Paragliders who, together with Torsten Stenzelì in the early years of the project (known mainly as York and not only), signed some impeccable iconic tracks.
In 1993, on Superstitions label, they released Paragliders EP which contains the tracks Paraglide and Bagdad: both tracks are a classic example of dreamy 90s trance, characterized by sustained rhythms and atmospheres that evoke stellar space.
The following year, however, at the height of their success, the Germans producers Humate (Gerret Frerichs, Hans-Georg Schmidt and Oliver Huntemann, until 1996, then just Gerret) get their hands on the track Paraglide: included in the new Remix EP released in 1994 on Rising High Records, Paraglide (Humate Rmx) is a wonderful trance remix that amplifies the characteristics of the already incredible original version of the previous year. The album is dedicated to the memory of the German dance producer Torsten Fenslau, who died in Novembre 1993 in a car accident.
The EP includes other remixes, here is the original tracklist released in 1994:
A Paraglide (Humate Remix)
B Paraglide (Original Mix)
C Paraglide (Mijk Van Dijk Remix)
D Bagdad (Oliver Lieb Remix)
