In 2014, Gareth Emery was at the peak of his success, His Album Drive, released that same year, was a treasure trove of major collaborations, among which the one with English singer Bo Bruce stood out, as together they recorded U. But that year, it would be Bryan Kearney‘s remix of the same track that became the real surprise.
The original track showcases Gareth’s innate talent on the keyboards and projects the producer into the electronic sounds of the chorus, a style that would later become his most concrete musical vision in the years to come. The song was an instant global success and went on to become one of his greatest hits, also thanks to Bo Bruce’s explosive vocals, which would later become a precious weapon for many producers.
Released on February 4th, 2014, the Club Mix version is a universal symphony, able, like many of Emery’s tracks, to embrace trance, progressive, and synth-pop. Shortly after, other remixes followed by W&W, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, but most notably Bryan Kearney, who elevated the track into full-on trance.
His remix would later be proclaimed by A State Of Trance fans as the Tune Of The Year 2014, an incredible success that would definitively establish Bryan.
