In 2023, for his new A State Of Trance anthem, Armin van Buuren chose to collaborate with an iconic duo from the trance scene.
The 2023 edition marked the final A State Of Trance Festival held at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, a historic temple that for years hosted some of the biggest electronic music events in the Netherlands, before making way for Ahoy Rotterdam starting in 2024.
That edition, titled REFLEXION, was a true celebration: six hours of a live set performed by Armin van Buuren to commemorate the 1000th episode of the radioshow , a milestone originally planned for 2021 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For that year’s anthem, Armin joined forces with the pioneers Cosmic Gate, Nic and Bossi. Once again, Armin van Buuren’s extraordinary ability to blend his signature sound with that of fellow artists resulted in an exceptional production.
The track represents the perfect fusion of both musical identities, building toward a powerful drop and delivering an atmosphere fully aligned with the style of an unmissable festival anthem.
As recently announced, Bossi will leave the historic Cosmic Gate project after 27 years. For this reason, our tribute in this week’s Top1000, leading us toward the Rotterdam event celebrating 25 years of A State Of Trance, could only be dedicated to this unforgettable track.
