“Screwdriver” is the title of the new single to be released on Anjunabeats next friday, December 3rd, for Paavo, Jono and Tony. In reality there are many news that await us from them after the recent Group Therapy 450 where we have been able to listen to several spectacular previews, some already with a name (the return of Justine Suissa with the energetic “Almost Home”) and others yet to be revealed. And it was precisely one of these tracks still without a title that was finally announced in the last episode of A State Of Trance 1044.
We have always known two faces of Above & Beyond, that of the most successful vocal productions with masterful collaborations and the dub side that in the last period has focused more on many electro cues and on elements of music from the 80s and 90s (evident especially in the last track with Justine Suissa)
Precisely for this reason, “Screwdriver” from an electro concept but expands on a sound that is also quite old between arpeggios and vocal samples up to a restart even a little breaks. In short, the new bomb of these genes hides something truly complete, pleasant to listen to.
Will this be the last production for this year for Above & Beyond ? Impossible to say but this 2021 for them was the springboard for another twelve months that promise to be full of news.
