Both at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami and at other recent events, the king of A State Of Trance has been previewing a lots of new music ready to explode throughout 2025
The undisputed king of trance music ? Of course, but also the undisputed king of collaborations: for Armin van Buuren, who can stand still is practically impossible and also for this 2025 the brand new tracks that he is ready to release are many and each different from the other, as proof, if there was any need, of his impressive and infinite musical versatility.
Although most of these collaborations in recent years have focused on the combination of trance music and other musical genres, with the match of artists from various musical realities, Armin van Buuren has not abandoned the idea of creating collaborations with other trance colleagues and an example of this is the 2021 album FOREVER, which celebrated the milestone of the 1000 episodes of A State Of Trance where Armin van Buuren signed ten exciting collaborations in with legendary trance artists.
This 2025 opened with a trance collaboration with an old friend of his, Omnia: Love, in fact it is one of the most played tracks of this year, so far, re-proposed several times since last year in his DJ sets and, more recently, included among other things in the A State Of Trance 2025 compilation, the collaboration with BLR, aka Leon Bolier, with the catchy Bach To The Future.
Both in Rotterdam, during the celebrations for the A State Of Trance TRANSFORMATION last February but, above all, during the Ultra Music Festival in Miami at the end of March, the king of Dutch trance played for the first time a series of new collaborations, many of which are still ID: we had already talked about the upcoming collaboration with Martin Garrix, played in the Garrix’s DJ set, but Armin van Buuren in his three DJ set (the third, the B3B with Maddix and Oliver Heldens) at the Ultra Music Festival presented a sequence of new tracks that we already know will characterize the history of trance and progressive music in this 2025.

First of all: borderline with the trance genre, the new collaboration with the techno music icon Adam Bayer: their track Techno Trance is a very clear tribute to the fusion between the two musical genre that Armin van Buuren which celebreated during the A State Of Trance at Ahoy Rotterdam this year, where their famous B2B was also held. Techno Trance will be coming in the next few weeks.

In the same way, between trance and techno, the collaboration with the rising Dutch star KI/KI: coming from last year’s success, with his incredible remix of the 90s classic Don’t You Want Me by Felix, she has established a strong collaboration with Armin van Buuren and both are ready to release the massive Bassline. And for some time now has been making the rounds among Armin van Buuren’s various DJ sets, the psy trance collaboration with another star of techno music Indira Paganotto: their Dragon is a real psytrance bomb, which Armin van Buuren introduced us to last summer but which has yet to be officially released.
Also noteworthy is the collaboration, for the first time together, with the American producer and DJ, undisputed icon of Anjunabeats label and not only, Andrew Bayer: their Need You By My Side, – provisional title – perfectly blends the idea of uplifting trance that distinguishes both artists: it seems like a truly euphoric track.
Also highly anticipated and finally seems to have arrived is the collaboration with the legendary Richard Durand: together with Dicosis, they have signed a spectacular trance track that almost seems like an anthem of A State Of Trance: the title is still ID but that incredibly trance sound is already driving us crazy !
The track that will invade the charts in the coming weeks and which will be released on Friday 25 April has been announced for a long time, even two years: Dream A Little Dream, with Sam Gray, an artist and singer with whom Armin van Buuren had already collaborated in 2022 for Human Touch: the track is preparing to become a summer hit, thanks his giant EDM/pop-dance sound.
Another new one played at the Ultra Music Festival that made the hearts of the most nostalgic fans beat: the return of the legendary Rising Star project: the new track of one of Armin van Buuren’s most famous aliases has the provisional title Set Me Free: let’s remember that the last track released under the legendary alias was The Voice, with Cari, in 2020. The new track sounds brilliant just like you would expect from this alias, at times it reminds us of the beautiful Just As You Are (feat. Fiora) from 2018.
Last, but not least, another explosive collaboration: the one with the Nigerian artist Nicole Moudaber: their track, still ID, is a real bomb that blends trance, techno and 90s rave sound.
And if you think that Armin van Buuren’s 2025 news is over here … well, we really think that’s a mistake !
