The Cherrymoon Trax project, whose name comes from the legendary Cherry Moon club in Lokeren, Belgium, is closely linked to one of the golden eras of ’90s hard-trance: over the years, the project has seen several members come and go, but for one of their most iconic tracks, released in 1994, the team consisted of Yves Deruyter and Franky Kloeck.
We are talking about The House Of House, released on the iconic Bonzai Records and originally included in the EP Trax I, alongside the track Space Module – Dreamworld.
The House Of House by Cherrymoon Trax probably best captures the meeting point at the time between the techno sound popular in Germany and Belgium and the trance sound that was about to emerge in the Netherlands. The track quickly established itself as one of the most famous hard-trance anthems ever, becoming a staple at festivals and clubs from 1994 onward.
Following its huge success, the track was re-released in 1998 on Bonzai Classics, alongside Let There Be House, which had originally appeared in Trax II back in 1994.
In 1998, numerous trance reinterpretations were released, thanks to remixes by Oliver Lieb, Taucher, and Moon Project. In the following years, more remixes appeared, including one by Jam El Mar, and the most recent version was released in 2024, produced by Yves Deruyter in collaboration with BYØRN, demonstrating the timeless influence and enduring legacy of this classic track.
